Two lovely, popular strains, Sensi Star and Tahoe OG Kush – both indica-dominant hybrids – were crossed to create this potent medical choice. It has a sativa/indica ratio of 25:75, making Alpine Star great for rainy days and late nights. The high is intensely physical, spreading a calming buzz throughout the body and causing sleepiness. Use it to increase appetite, quiet muscle spasms, alleviate glaucoma, treat nausea and chronic pain, and induce sleep. THC levels are sky-high in this strain, topping 24% in some tests. CBD makes up about 2% of the plant, so Alpine Star may be somewhat helpful with seizure disorders and other conditions that can be treated with CBD. This strain has a dank odor and taste, with strong notes of lemon and citrus. Negative effects are unclear, based on public information, but as with most cannabis, cottonmouth and red eyes are likely. Don’t look too hard for this strain unless it’s either important in your medial treatment or just something you’re determined to try; you probably won’t find it. It’s sold by at least one dispensary in Michigan, but beyond that it doesn’t seem to appear much on either the legal or black markets.
